Blue statice seeds - flowers for dry bouquets

Statice (Limonium sinuatum) is a classic among plants for dry bouquets. This annual plant is distinguished by its delicate, small flowers in blue. After drying, zatrwian flowers retain their colors for a long time, which makes them irreplaceable in floral compositions. Statice is perfect for both bouquets and garlands or table decorations.

Statice cultivation

  • Sowing: sow the seeds of statice in March-April, preferably in pots, seed trays or seedpods, which can be set under covers in a greenhouse or plastic tunnel. directly into the ground you can sow in mid-May.
  • Substrate: choose a light, permeable soil. Sow the seeds to a depth of about 0.5 cm and lightly cover with soil.
  • Germination: Maintain a temperature of 16-20°C and constant humidity of the soil to ensure optimal conditions for germination.
  • Quilting: When the seedlings develop their first leaves, you can quilt them into separate pots.
  • Planting into a permanent place: After the frosts have passed, in May, transplant the zatrwian to a permanent site - preferably in a sunny position with permeable, light soil.

Statice blooms from July to October, pleasing the eye with its colorful inflorescences. When cut and dried, it retains its colors perfectly, making a beautiful addition to dried bouquets.

In our garden, statice is one of the favorite species. We grow it with passion and dry it with our own hands to preserve its natural beauty in our compositions. You can find more inspiration on our Instagram secca_driedflowers - welcome!
