Określenie to stosowane jest do siewek pieprznicy siewnej, co ciekawe często stosowanych w kuchni jako dodatek do sałatek, sosów, serów. Pieprznica jest bogaty źródłem witamin C, D, kwasu foliowego.

Lepidium - plant characteristics

The lower leaves are long-tailed, pinnate with incised segments, the middle ones are tripartite, and the upper ones are sitting, undivided, equiangular. Inflorescences in the form of a cluster composed of numerous white or light pink flowers. The flowers are small, four-flowered. The fruit is a roundish, upwardly winged achenes, 5-6 mm long, containing two smooth seeds.
