Lagurus Ovatus - an ornamental grass.
Lagurus is a plant of the panicle family (Poaceae). The ornamental grass is an annual or biennial. Its name is derived from the combination of the Greek words logos and cura, meaning hare and tail, all due to the delicate and soft to the touch panicles, which resemble hare's bunny tails.
Bunny tails - appearance and characteristics of the plant
Lagurus grows from 40-60cm depending on the species of soil and conditions. It has narrow, gray-green leaves and a panicled, soft beige-silver flower, which is responsible for the association in hare's tail. It owes its silvery hue to the fine hairs with which the lagurus is covered. When dried, lagurus retains its natural oval shape and color.
